Fallen Crest High (Fallen Crest High #1)

It was a bit long time ago when I last wrote about a book. This time I started from a new author: Tijan, her series Fallen Crest High. The first book from the series is named the same the whole series. I have to tell you I was genuinely surprised by the book. I reeeeally loved it.

Mason and Logan Kade are two brothers who did their own thing. They were rich and expected to attend Samanthas school, Fallen Crest Academy. They chose public school instead and now Samantha has to live with them. The problem is that she doesn't care at all: about them, about her friends, about her cheating boyfriend, or even about her parent's divorce. It is until rumor starts about her and the "Oh, so famous" Kade brothers, and until Logan Kade decides the he likes her, and takes her under his, and of course, Masons protective wings. Well, beside the Kade brother there is the ex boyfriend, and the friend who wants to be the boyfriend. There are the other girls, who are jumping form wanting to be friend with Sam to hating her.  And all that is just the beginning.

Who to start with.... First is Samantha, or Sam as everybody calls her. Well to follow her logic is not very hard. She just don't care. After her mom breaks her the news of the divorce, every time she has to cope with some stressful situation she goes on a run. It makes her numb. (I can see where it comes from, I would be really exhausted after a three hour run.) Her not so perfect life goes from being not so perfect to hell within a couple of days: cheating boyfriend, new step dad, new home, hot stepbrothers... But as I have written about, she just don't care. Or at least that is what she wants to believe. Through the whole book, sometimes I pitied her, hated her, admired her, loved her or wanted to shake her, to make her wake up and see the people around for who they are. I literally went through every possible emotion. 

Now Mason Kade. He is hot... and then he is cold... and hot again. Don't get me wrong, he plays football, he nedds to be hot. His behaviour is something entirely different. He has this mask of his. Behind that mask is the real him, but I think, that only Sam can see through it. His behavior seems to be random, but he is calculating every move and sentence he is saying. (My guess... he played a lot of chess) But from the Kade brothers he is the muscle. As in the book was written: It just takes one punch from Mason Kade. He proved it on Adam... I can't really tell a lot about his feeling for Sam. He is protecting her from the beginning, and in the end he says he loves her. When they are alone, he is sweet and playful, otherwise he is hard, demanding, king of the world. I would really love to read a book from his POV.

Logan Kade... Weeeee (Fangirling and jumping up and down)... Where Mason is sweet and kind of a lone wolf, Logan is a man whore. He went through at least half of the town... But nobody cares. Logan is....Logan. He is funny and charming, for an outsider it may look like he can never be serious. He can, it just takes the right person to see that (Sam, Mason and Nathan). I have a feeling that his book is going to be my all time favorite from this series. He went to some heartache, and from that moment he never takes a girl seriously. I would love to see him with Becky, Sams friend. 

Nathan is a best friend, inseparable friend, brother in trouble or as Logan said:

"I don't care. I can't handle this. My game is talk. You tried to take that away." He shot an arm towards Mason. "He fights. I talk. That's the magic of our twosome fearsome."

His hand slid back up to my [Sam] shoulder. He gave me a pat. "Threesome fearsome. No one stands a chance."
I grinned at him. "What about Nate?"
He tapped his beer with mine. "When he's around, it's the foursome fearsome. You can add any 'some to that name. Thank goodness, huh?" Then he groaned. "I really need to get laid tonight."

We don't read much about him. He approves Sam and Mason (seriously, who don't), cares about all of them, and when the boys are in trouble he is there to help him. Somehow he is the mystical one who I want to get to know more (except for Logan,I want to know him a whole lot better).

With this last quote I end this review and start to read book #2: Fallen Crest Family.

"Because you don't care about anything. It's your ammo. You don't give a damn and no one can touch you because of it."
