Chaser (Bad habits #2)

The next book from Staci Harts' Bad habits series is the Chaser. I couldn't wait to start reading this book. I was super excited and I have to tell y'all it was totally worth the wait. I LOVED it! It is the story of Cooper and Maggie.

After Maggie finds her fiancé, soon to be husband banging her maid of honor an hour before she was set to walk down the aisle, to say that she is broken and desperate is an understatement. That is when she sees Cooper, sparks fly and he helps her to forget the heartache and pain... well at least for a couple of minutes. After that little secret "meeting" (if you know what I mean 😉) they go their own separate ways, but life is a funny little thing, and when Maggie decides to escape the small town, where everybody knows everything better, Cooper is the one, again, who is there to pick her up at the airport. There are sparks again, but Maggie is afraid so sets down some rules. Cooper being a playboy womanizer takes it as his personal challenge, and agrees to all the rules. Well, all is good and happy until... you are not going to find out... yeah, you are right, some bad things happen, Maggie runs away (again!), but this time at the end she makes it right.

Maggie Williams is a natural beauty, the curly-haired, freckle-faced girl from Mississippi who is absolutely off limits to Cooper Moore. She is heartbroken, hurt, and always doubts herself for making the right decision. Sometimes I just wanted to shake her like: Damn girl wake up that man loves you, and he is right for you. But in the end, I respect her... For sending her jackass ex fiancé to the hell (although I think she did it too politely), for sending that b***ch made of honor to the hell too. Most of all I respect her for not to being afraid to tell Cooper that she made a mistake, for asking for forgiveness, and trying her best to make it right.

Now Cooper Moore... imagine Mr. Grey without all his problems, add even more charm, passion and cuteness.... Well, somewhere there is Cooper. He is all against commitment and any form of seriousness... And he can afford it as a son of a seriously awesome millionaire parents, he have all the time and money to do whatever he wants. After being with Maggie he starts to realize, that he needs to take life more seriously. He finds his purpose in life and start with convincing Maggie that he is the perfect man for her. He gives her space, and whatever she wants, even if he hurts himself.

It was a sweet, funny book, with two lovable characters, who were capable of evolving emotionally and in the end who you can respect. After finishing the last words I doubted that I am going to be able to start another book this week, but I found out that the next book is about Patrick 'Tricky' Evans and Rose Fisher.
